Kaelin Named West Region's Most Improved Player

Colorado College senior Andrew Kaelin has been named the Division III West Region's Most Improved Player for the 2023-24 season by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA).

Kaelin posted a 14-9 overall singles record during the '23-24 campaign. He played all 18 of his dual matches at the No. 1 position and produced an impressive 11-7 record, including a 3-1 mark against SCAC opponents.

The Mercer Island, Wash., product was a first-team all-SCAC selection and a second-team pick in doubles with junior Aiden Little. Kaelin, who advanced to the quarterfinals of the 'A' bracket at the ITA West Region Tournament last fall, was named to the CSC Academic All-District team earlier this week.

"We are so proud of Andrew's accomplishments," head coach Anthony Weber said. "He put in the necessary work in-season and out, rebounded from an injury during his junior year and traveled to play tournaments throughout the year. It is great to see him recognized by those in the region."
