Accetta Earns Second-Team All-America Honor

Colorado College recent graduate Kendall Accetta earned second-team All-America honors with a 12th-place finish in the women's 3,000-meter steeplechase Friday at the 2024 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Meet in Myrtle Beach, S.C.

Accetta, who was a first-team All-American with a seventh-place finish in the same race in 2022, joined Sascha Scott as the only female student-athletes from CC to earn multiple All-America honors in outdoor track and field. Accetta finished Friday's race with a time of 10:51.47.

"Kendall had an incredible season for us," head coach Katie Bretscher said. "I am thrilled with how she performed at the national meet. Kendall has been so impactful in the program and she will be greatly missed next year."

Earlier in the day, CC sophomore Josh Williams wrapped up his national meet on Friday, posting a time of 50.39 seconds in the men's 400-meter dash preliminaries.

"I am so happy Josh got the opportunity to compete at the national championship," Bretscher said. "I am excited to see what future seasons hold for him."

Recent graduate James Settles will compete in the 5K final on Saturday, May 25. He finished fourth in the 5K at last year's outdoor championships.
