Box Score Sophomore Avery Hickman won the No. 2 singles match, but the Colorado College women's tennis team dropped a 6-1 decision to Division II Lubbock Christian Thursday afternoon in Pueblo, Colo.
 
LBU jumped out to an early 1-0 lead by winning two of the three doubles matches. Sophomore Kala Komanduri and freshman Amelia Karr won the No. 1 match, 6-4, over Axelle Jacquemin and Andrea De Bernardo.
 
Hickman posted the Tigers' lone point with a 6-4, 7-6(4) victory over Jacquemin at No. 2. Lubbock Christian won the other five singles matches in straight sets.
 
The Tigers return to action on Friday, Sept. 13, against Newman University in Pueblo, beginning at 4:30 p.m.
