The Colorado College women's tennis team wrapped the ITA Division III West Region Championships Sunday in Claremont, Calif.
Â
Junior
Avery Hickman was the only Tiger to compete on Sunday, but she fell in the flight 'B' singles final to Chloe Wu of UC Santa Cruz, 6-3, 6-4. She had won four straight matches, including a 6-2, 1-6, 1-0(8), in the quarterfinals.
Â
"This trip helps us emphasize what we'll need to nail down starting in January," head coach
Anthony Weber said. "While we have plenty to work on, it gave us a good indication of how far this team can go in the spring. Ally and Aspen had big wins against CMS and PP in singles and doubles A draws, while Avery cleaned up in the B draw. The group supported each other through long days and gave big efforts."
