MSUD jumped out to an early 1-0 lead by winning two of the three doubles matches. The Tigers' No. 1 team of
Ally Lowe and
Aspen Young defeated Kambra Roles and Kim Heddes, 6-1, but the Roadrunners won the No. 2 and 3 matches by a score of 6-1 and 6-2.

Lowe and Young were also victorious in singles play on Friday. Lowe won the No. 2 match, 6-1, 6-4, over Heddes, while Young downed Victoria Ricaurte-Cabas, 6-3, 3-6, 1-0(4) at the No. 3 spot.

Lindsay Popeo dropeed the No. 5 match in three sets, 7-5, 5-7, 1-0(7) to Monica Guarin at No. 5, and the Roadrunners won the other three in straight sets.

The Tigers return to action on Sunday, Feb. 23, against Barton Community College at Lifetime Fitness, beginning at 8:30 a.m.
