The No. 19 Colorado College women's lacrosse team starts the 2025 season on Sunday, March 2, against Claremont-Mudd-Scripps at Washburn Field. CC looks to build off a fantastic 2024 season that ended in the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament.
In The Polls
CC enters the IWLCA national poll ranked 19th. Two weeks ago, the Tigers were ranked 20th, but other teams starting their season have allowed CC to move up to 19th before its first game.
Running It Back
The Tigers look to continue the momentum from last year's NCAA Tournament run, which ended in the Sweet 16 against eventual national champion Middlebury University. CC defeated Aurora and the University of Chicago in the first two rounds to advance.
CC ended the season with a 16-6 record, its most wins since 2019. In their first year in the conference, the Tigers captured the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Regular Season and Tournament titles.
The Tigers return four al-region selections after graduating the other two last spring. Senior
Healy Bledsoe returns to the lineup in her senior season after being named all-region first team last year; the Bend, Oregon native was second on the team in ground balls and caused turnovers despite playing in only 19 games.
Sophomore Charolette Iler preps for her sophomore season after earning first-team honors in her first collegiate career. She was second on the team, behind all-American Kendall Havil, in goals with 58 and 17 multi-goal games, 21 assists and 99 shots.
Seniors
Tobin Lonergan and Evely Baher-Murphy both were named all-region second-team selections. Lonergan played and started in all 21 games last season, leading the team with 36 assists. Baher-Murphy was the WIAC Defensive Player of the Year and led the Tigers in caused turnovers with 26.
Stuey's Last Season
CC long-time head coach Susan "Stuey" Stuart announced she will retire at the end of the 2025 season. The only coach in the program's illustrious history enters her final year with 312 wins, the 12
th most in DIII history.
"The past 30 years have been nothing short of amazing," Stuart said. "I ended up in the absolute perfect place for me."
