No. 17 CC Hits The Road For A Series of Ranked Matchups

No. 17 Colorado College heads east for one of the most important road trips of the season, where it will face No. 15 Trinity College (Conn.) and No. 11 The College of New Jersey in a series of Top 25 matchups. 
 
The Tigers will face the Bantams in Hartford, CT, on Thursday at 4 pm MT before traveling to Ewing, N.J., to face the Lions on Sunday.

Last Time Out
 
CC closed out the regular season clinching another undefeated record in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference with three wins over UW-La Crosse, UW-Stout and Augsburg. 
 
It's the Tigers' second-straight WIAC regular season title and will look to defend its conference tournament crown next week in the WIAC Tournament. 
 
CC is 15-0 since entering the conference as the WIAC is only in its second season with lacrosse as a sponsored sport. 
 
Next week's WIAC Tournament will be at the highest seeded Wisconsin school. 
 
In The Standings
 
CC entered the week ranked No. 17 in the IWLCA coaches national poll. This will be the first time this season facing back-to-back ranked opponents. 
 
The Tigers defeated No. 9 Pomona-Pitzer at Washburn Field by a final score of 13-8. They lost their first ranked matchup of the year in an OT loss to UChicago back on March 8. 
 
In the NCAA Power Index rankings, the standings reflect who will most likely make the NCAA Tournament in the 47-team bracket, CC ranks 18th. TCNJ is two spots up at No. 16 while Trinity is sitting at No. 28. 
 
There are 31 automatic qualifiers in the NCAA Tournament reserved for conference champions with the remaining 16 spots going to at-large bids. The WIAC will receive an automatic qualifier for the 2026 season in its third year sponsoring women's lacrosse. 
 
Player of the Week
 
Senior Evelyn Baher-Murphy was announced on Tuesday, April 15th, as the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week.
 
The Mountain View, Calif. native helped lead the No. 17 Tiger defense to another strong week, surrendering only eight goals in three games, including a shutout against Augsburg University (Minn.) on April 13. They finished the week with three caused turnovers, four ground balls and a draw control.
