Last Time Out
In a hard-fought game against the Bulls on Thursday, an early goal from Adriana Victoriano in the seventh minute was the decider in Buffalo. CC put five shots on net to UB's seven as sophomore
Jessica Anderson had a career-high three shots (1 SOG).
The Tigers took four corner kicks while limiting the Bulls to only one. Sophomore
Finley Schoenbeck also had four shots (1 SOG).
Junior Goalkeeper
Regan Wallace had five saves after surrendering the lone goal.
The Non-Conference Slate
CC is an even .500 through the first three games against teams that averaged 11 wins in 2024 and were top competitors in their respective conference tournaments.
Canisius, the Tigers' next opponent, won 12 games last season. The front half of the schedule is no cakewalk for head coach
Keri Sanchez's squad. CC's defense has been formidable in the first three weeks, holding opposing offenses to only 0.67 goals per game.
Leading The Way
Junior forward
Kendall Memoly was expected to have another prominent season as a scorer for the Tigers: the Laguna Hills, Calif. native was second on the team in 2024 with 11 points. She's nearly gotten half of her goal total from last year with the two goals against the Aggies in the season opener.
Schoenbeck leads the team with seven shots (three on goal). Memoly has a team-high four shots on goal. Sophomore
Nadia Cassamajor is third with five shots (two on goal). She, along with junior
Tyler Rose, has the two assists on the year.
Scouting The Golden Griffins
Canisius (0-2) suffered back-to-back losses to Buffalo and Syracuse by a combined score of 7-0. The Griffins did have a successful 2024 season that ended with a 12-4-3 record and a trip to the MAAC Tournament semifinals
The notable returners from last season include Senior Lizzy Harkness
, who was named to the 2025 Preseason All-MAAC Team. In 19 starts last season, Harkness racked up three goals and an assist for seven points.
Senior Mia Iacona is the Golden Griffins' top returning goal scorer after she tallied four goals in 2024.
