The Colorado College women's soccer team closes out its first Mountain West road trip with a flight out west to San Diego to take on San Diego State on Sunday, Sept. 28.
CC (3-4-2) is trying to end a two-game skid and win its fourth road game of the season.
Last Time Out
The Tigers fell to New Mexico 3-2 in the conference opener in Albuquerque, N.M. on Thursday evening. Goals from sophomore
Finley Schoenbeck and senior
Makenna Kolson put CC up twice, but the Lobos scored two late goals, including the game-winner in the 89th minute.
Schoenbeck put CC up in the 10th minute after receiving an assist from
Taylor Mentink, her first career point.
The Lobos equalized the game in the 58th minute, but Kolson scored her first career goal in the 63rd minute to make it 2-1 Tigers. UNM responded with their second goal only three minutes later and then went ahead 3-2 with less than two minutes to play.
On The Road
CC's offensive production on the road is night and day compared to the 2024 season. Last year, the Tigers scored only one goal off 59 shot attempts with a 0-7 record.
This season, the Tigers have scored nine times off 74 shot attempts. All three wins have come on the road, and CC is averaging a shot-on-goal percentage of .486.

Six Tigers have recorded goals on the stat sheet this year. Junior
Kendall Memoly continues to lead the team with four goals and an assist. Memoly's goals have come from two multi-goal performances.

Tyler Rose has the other blank this year, a two-goal performance against Northern Colorado that gave CC the 2-1 victory.
Sophomore
Jessica Anderson is tied for second on the team with two goals and an assist. Senior
Kylie Smith and sophomore
Nadia Cassamajor lead the team with two assists each.
Freshman
Sophia Mayne,
Makenna Kolson and
Finley Schoenbeck account for the remaining three tallies.
Junior goalkeeper
Regan Wallace is third in the Mountain West with 46 saves (5.11 per game).
Scouting The Opposition
SDSU (5-2-2) is tied for first in the Mountain West after winning its conference-opening matchup against Grand Canyon on Thursday.
Sophomore Victoria Miller leads the team with five goals and 17 shots. Mia Lane and Katie Senn are tied for second with two goals. Senn is the Aztecs' assist leader with four.
Head coach Mike Friesen is in his 19th season at the helm for SDSU. The Somona State graduate just reached 200 career wins with the most recent victory over GCU.
