Hudson Chris and Ross Cockrell advanced to the semifinals of the 'B' singles flight Saturday on the first day of the season-opening CC Invitational at Memorial Park.

Chris defeated teammate Hugo Vohmann, 6-2, 7-5, in the quarterfinals, while Cockrell had a walkover against Jamison Pfingston of Colorado Mesa.

In doubles, Sam Dilworth and Dylan Ferraro as well as Justin Boder and Lenny Lehmitz advanced to the third round. 

The CC Invitational with conclude on Sunday, Sept. 7, beginning at 8:15 am.
