Colorado College travels up north to take on the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley on Sunday afternoon.
CC (2-2-2) is going for its third road win of the year, which would be the most in a year since 2022.
Last Time Out
The Tigers fell to UC San Diego 3-2 on Thursday evening at Stewart Field. They jumped ahead 2-1 in the second half, but two Triton goals in response lifted them over CC.
All five goals between the two teams were scored in the second half. Sophomore
Jessica Anderson and first-year
Sophia Mayne put the Tigers in front 2-1 with a pair of first-career goals less than two minutes from each other, but the Tritons scored two of their own in response shortly after.
Forward
Finley Schoenbeck led the team with two shots, one SOG and an assist. It's the first point of the season for the Texas native.
Career Firsts
Despite the loss, it was a feel-good night for Mayne and Anderson, who both scored their first career goals against the Tritons. Anderson has been increasing her offensive production as the season went along, which culminated in her first career goal to put CC on the board.
Mayne made a nice move and fired a rocket off her left foot that gave the Tigers the momentary lead.
Tiger Tails
Three Tigers are credited for the six goals this year. Junior midfielder
Kendall Memoly has a team-high four goals that came from two multi-goal games.
Scheonbeck leads the team with 13 shots, followed by Memoly, who has 12. Memoly also leads the team with a .760 shot percentage, which is just ridiculously accurate. Mayne has the same rate in her four shots she's taken this year.
Scouting The Opposition
UNC is 1-3-2 to start the year, with their most recent outing being a 1-0 loss to Colorado State on Thursday.
The lone win for the Bears came against Oral Roberts on Aug. 16.
Junior Lexie Tuite leads the team with three goals and 13 shots. Riley Kaali-Nagy is the other goal scorer this year.
