Tigers Close CC Invitational

The Colorado College women's tennis team concluded the CC Invitational on Sunday at Memorial Park in Colorado Springs.

Aspen Young advanced to the final of the 'A" singles bracket with a 6-2, 6-7(3), 1-0(8) victory over Jade Brilhante of Colorado Mesa. She was scheduled to face Devyn Rodriguez of CMU, who best CC's Avery Hickman, 6-3, 5-7, 1-0(5), in the other semifinal, but the tournament was called due to lightning before the match started.

Lindsay Popeo, Ally Lowe and Lucia Moravek each won a consolation match on Sunday.

The Tigers return to action on Saturday, Sept, 13, with matches against Colorado Mesa and CSU-Pueblo in Pueblo.
