Former Colorado College and current Carolina Hurricanes defenseman Jaccob Slavin has been selected to represent Team USA at the 2026 Winter Olympic Games in Milan and Cortina d'Ampezzo, Italy.
Slavin will be the ninth former Tiger to compete in the Olympics, the first since Mike Testwuide played for South Korea in 2018, and the sixth to represent Team USA.
Slavin, from Erie, Colo., is in his 11
th season with Carolina. He played two seasons at Colorado College, earning the NCHC Rookie of the Year in 2014 and first-team all-NCHC honors in 2015 before signing with the Hurricanes.
He is a two-time Lady Byng Memorial Trophy winner, reached the NHL All-Star Game in 2020 and played for Team USA in the inaugural 4 Nations Face Off.
The Olympic Games are scheduled from February 6-22, 2026, and Team USA will open play on Thursday, Feb. 12, against Latvia.
