Last Time Out

The Tigers fell in hard-fought contests to No. 14 St. Thomas (78-62) and Hardin-Simmons (80-70) last weekend. Against HSU, after trailing by 12 at the break, the Tigers came out of halftime with noticeably better energy on both ends of the floor. CC scored 42 points in the second half and cut what had been a 20-point deficit down to single digits multiple times in the final five minutes.

Freshman Ryan Kranz sparked the rally with a pair of three-pointers during a late second-half stretch, helping CC trim the margin to as few as seven with just over a minute remaining. Junior Ty Hendler was steady throughout the comeback, finishing with a team-high 15 points while getting to the free-throw line consistently in the closing minutes.

Tiger Tails

Senior Asher Nofziger continues to lead the team with 15.6 points and 8.6 rebounds per game. The Denver native has three double-doubles this season and has scored double-digit points in six straight games.

Ty Hendler missed some time due to injury. In his three games back, he's averaged 15.3 points per game and is 13-14 from the free-throw line. He leads the team with an 87.5 free-throw percentage.

Scouting The Opposition

Austin College enters Friday with a 3-8 record (0-2 SCAC). The 'Roos won their most recent game against Howard Payne in a 78-77 contest. Freshman Ryan Dupre hit the go-ahead free throw with two seconds remaining, and Austin College survived a buzzer-beating attempt.

Senior Kidus Getenet leads the team in points and is averaging 15.9 ppg.
