The Colorado College men's basketball team begins postseason play Friday afternoon as the No. 3 seed from the Gold Division takes on No. 2 seed Centenary in the quarterfinal round of the 2026 SCAC Men's Basketball Tournament. Tipoff is scheduled for noon CT at Hendrix College in Conway, Arkansas.
The winner will advance to Saturday's semifinal round to face No. 1 seed St. Thomas at noon (CT).
CC enters the tournament averaging 76.8 points per game while shooting 44.8 percent from the field and 32.7 percent from three-point range. The Tigers are pulling down 41.8 rebounds per contest and have held opponents to 41.1 percent shooting from the floor this season.
LAST TIME OUT
CC closed out the regular season with a 75–73 victory over LeTourneau on Senior Day at Reid Arena. Senior Asher Nofziger delivered a historic performance, finishing with 14 points and a single-game program-record 20 rebounds as CC controlled the glass throughout the afternoon.
Senior Russell MacFarlane added 14 points and seven rebounds, while junior Christian Drummond chipped in 11 points on a perfect 4-for-4 shooting performance. CC dominated the boards with a 52–33 rebounding advantage and outscored LeTourneau 42–34 in the paint.
SCOUTING THE OPPOSITION
Centenary is led by senior guard Quentin Beverly, who averages 18.0 points per game and has connected on 56 three-pointers this season. Freshman guard Jaden Braden adds 13.2 points per contest, while freshman forward Kane Broussard contributes 11.4 points per game and has knocked down a team-high 67 triples at a 39.4 percent clip.
Craig Collier, who has appeared in 11 games, is averaging 11.9 points per outing and provides additional scoring depth.
As a team, the Gents are shooting 39.8 percent from the field and 33.3 percent from beyond the arc, relying heavily on perimeter production and guard play to generate offense.
AT THE HELM
CC's offense this season has been anchored by senior forward Asher Nofziger, who leads the team with 15.6 points per game and 9.5 rebounds per contest. Nofziger has totaled 389 points and 237 rebounds on the year and remains a steady presence on both ends of the floor.
Junior forward Ty Hendler adds 12.3 points per game and is shooting 80.5 percent from the free-throw line, providing reliable scoring in late-game situations.
Freshman guard Ryan Kranz has emerged as a perimeter threat, connecting on 52 three-pointers at a 42.6 percent clip while averaging 8.0 points per game.
Defensively, senior forward Russell MacFarlane has anchored the interior with 32 blocks on the season, while junior guard Gavin Carter leads CC with 118 assists.
The 2026 SCAC Men's Basketball Tournament runs February 27 through March 1, with the championship game scheduled for Sunday at noon.
