No. 21 Colorado College women's lacrosse travels to California this weekend for a pair of nonconference matchups in Claremont, beginning with No. 13 Pomona-Pitzer on Saturday before facing Claremont-Mudd-Scripps on Sunday.

No. 21 Colorado College (CC) is coming off an 11-10 overtime victory over No. 16 St. John Fisher on March 7 at Washburn Field. Sophomore Riley Sterling scored the game-winning goal on a free-position shot with 57 seconds remaining in overtime to lift the Tigers to the ranked win.
Junior Sofia Mancino led CC offensively with five points on four goals and one assist, while first-year Elsa Greene and first-year Maddie Jenks each scored two goals. Sophomore Grace Weber added a goal and an assist, while junior Charlotte Iler also scored for the Tigers. Senior goalkeeper Cassidy Schnaufer finished with nine saves in goal to secure the victory.

Through three games this season, CC has been led offensively by junior Charlotte Iler, who leads the Tigers with 12 goals and 16 points while shooting .632. Junior Sofia Mancino has added nine points on eight goals and one assist, while first-year Elsa Greene has totaled eight points on six goals and two assists. Junior Grace Weber leads the team with seven assists and has eight total points, while first-year Maddie Jenks has added six goals early in the season.
Defensively, CC has forced 29 caused turnovers and collected 65 ground balls while holding opponents to a .327 shooting percentage. Senior goalkeeper Cassidy Schnaufer anchors the defense and was named the WIAC Defensive Player of the Week after recording 17 saves across wins over Kenyon and No. 16 St. John Fisher.

Scouting No. 13 Pomona-Pitzer
No. 13 Pomona-Pitzer enters the matchup with a 6-0 overall record and one of the most productive offenses in the region. The Sagehens have scored 93 goals through six games while allowing 44 defensively.
Junior attacker Piper Higgins leads the offense with 21 points on 16 goals and five assists, while Caill Cross has added 18 points on 12 goals and six assists. Carly Katzman and Madeleine Trapp have each recorded 14 points, with Trapp leading the team with nine assists. Catherine Faucette has scored nine goals and Maria Favret has added 10 goals to provide additional scoring depth.
As a team, Pomona-Pitzer has generated 168 shots on goal, collected 147 ground balls, and forced 71 caused turnovers through six contests. The Sagehens most recently defeated Chicago 14-10 and edged Claremont-Mudd-Scripps 12-11 to remain unbeaten.

CMS enters the weekend with a 4-2 overall record and a 3-1 mark in SCIAC play. The Athenas have scored 105 goals while allowing 63 through their first six games of the season.
Amelia Ulmer leads the CMS offense with 26 points on 16 goals and 10 assists, while Grace Minturn has recorded 21 points on 12 goals and nine assists. Kate Larson has added 20 points on 15 goals and five assists, and Ella Seidel has contributed 16 points with 11 goals and five assists. Cate Lewison and Maya Mihara have also reached double figures in scoring with 13 and 12 points, respectively.
