Kala Komanduri and sophomore
Ally Lowe were named the Doubles Team of the Week.

Young, who won her second consecutive Player of the Week award, won four of her five matches at the No. 1 singles position during CC's spring break trip in Texas and California last week. She opened the week with a decisive 6-3, 6-2 victory over Suzanne Xu, helping the Tigers defeat #22 Wellesley College. The next day, she downed Eva Kovachev, the 48th-ranked player in the country, 6-3, 2-6, 6-3. Her only loss of the week was to Carissa Gerung of #31 Cal Tech, 7-6 (2), 4-6, 7-6(3), but CC still won the match, 4-3. Aspen then closed the week with a pair of straight set wins over Greta Nagy of Occidental and Chloe McBride of Chapman. The Tigers are 10-3 and Young is 9-3 at the No. 1 position.

Meanwhile, Komanduri and Lowe also went 4-1 last week at the No. 2 doubles spot. They opened the week with a tough 7-5 loss to Luna Bian and Kriti Sarav of 22nd-ranked Wellesley College, but then won four straight matches, including a 6-3 victory over Katie Schmidt and Lauren Tin of #12 Trinity. The duo then pulled out a 7-6(6) win over Aoi Kunimoto and Anna Szczuka of #31 Cal Tech, clinching the doubles point in a 4-3 win. They closed the week with a 6-1 win over Nicole Anderson and Catelyn Isman of Occidental and 6-3 over Chloe McBride and Lucy Wallin of Chapman. The Tigers are 10-3 and Komanduri and Lowe are 8-1 at the No. 2 position.
The Tigers host three matches this weekend at Lifetime Fitness in Colorado Springs. On Friday, then battle the Univeristy of the Ozarks at 6:30 p.m., then play COlorado Mesa at 1 p.m., and Hendrix College at 6:30 p.m., on Saturday.Â
