Tigers Wrap Up Regular Season in Texas

The Colorado College tennis teams wrap up the 2026 regular season this weekend in Texas. The Tigers will battle UC Santa Cruz in Frisco on Thursday, April 16, at 6 p.m. (CT), then close out SCAC play at Austin College (9 a.m.) and the University of Dallas (6 p.m.) on Saturday, April 18. The men will face 19th-ranked Trinity on Sunday, April 19, at 3 p.m.

Perfect in the SCAC
Both teams are 8-0 in SCAC matches this spring and lead their respective conference standings.
  
Women Ranked No. 19 in the Country
The women 's team is ranked No. 19 in the latest ITA Division III national rankings, released on April 8. CC was ranked No. 17, the program's highest ranking in 40 years, on April 1.
  
Last Time Out
Each team posted a 2-0 record at Lifetime Fitness the weekend of April 11-12.
 
The women (15-3, 8-0 SCAC) extended their winning streak to eight by defeating the University of St. Thomas and LeTourneau, each by a 7-0 margin. They have yet to lose an individual point in their eight SCAC matches this season.
 
The men (9-6, 6-0 SCAC) beat St. Thomas, 7-0 and LeTourneau, 5-2. They lost the doubles point for the first time this season against LeTourneau, but captured five of the six songles matches to stay unbeaten in the SCAC.
 
CC Captured Three of Four SCAC Weekly Awards
Aspen Young was named the SCAC Women's Player of the Week and joined Lucia Moravek for the Doubles Team of the Week, while Lenny Lehmitz was named the SCAC Men's Player of the Week.
 
Young posted a 2-0 record at No. 1 singles as CC defeated St. Thomas, 7-0, and LeTourneau, 7-0. She defeated Lucia Rodriguez of UST, 6-3, 6-0, then beat Kylie Weeks of LeTourneau, 6-2, 6-0. She is 7-0 in SCAC matches at the #1 spot, winning all seven matches in straight sets.
 
Young and Moravek posted a 2-0 record at No. 1 doubles over the weekend, defeated Rodriguez and Mariel Herrera of UST, 6-3, then beating Weeks and Chloe Tesser of LeTourneau, 6-0. They are 7-0 in SCAC matches at the No. 1 spot.
 
Meanwhile, Lehmitz posted a 2-0 record at #2 singles as CC defeated St. Thomas, 7-0, and LeTourneau, 5-2. He defeated Sawyer White of UST, 6-0, 6-2, then rallied to beat Andrew Reiman of LeTourneau, 3-6, 6-4, 1-0(8). He is 4-0 in SCAC matches at the #2 spot. 
 
Up Next
Both teams will return to Texas, this time in Kerrville, for the 2026 SCAC Tournament, April 24-26. The Tigers will receive a bye in the quarterfinals and play in the semis on Saturday, April 25, with the women at 9 a.m. (CT) and the men at 12 p.m. (CT).
