Young Named SCAC Player of the Week, Again

Colorado College Aspen Young has been named the SCAC Women's Tennis Player of the Week for the second consecutive week and fourth time this season.
 
Young, from Niceville, Fla., continued her outstanding season, going a perfect 3-0 at the top singles line, helping the Tigers clinch a perfect regular season in SCAC play and the top seed going into the conference tournament.
 
The No. 7 ranked player in the West Region, Young dropped just two games over three matches. She defeated the region's No. 19 player Chloe Wu of UC Santa Cruz, 6-1, 6-1, in a 6-1 team victory, then also defeated Olivia Sanchez of Austin College and Avery Williams of the University of Dallas, both 6-0, 6-0.

The Tigers (18-3, 10-0 SCAC) will face the winner of the Schreiner/Hendrix match in the semifinals of the SCAC Tournament on Saturday, April 25, in Kerrville, Texas, beginning at 9  a.m. (CT).
