The outside temperature in Greencastle, Ind., was 25 degrees, but that was warm compared to Colorado College's shooting percentage inside Neal Fieldhouse.
The Tigers made just 14 of 50 shots from the field and were held to their lowest point total of the season on Sunday afternoon in a 76-44 loss to DePauw University.
Colorado College made just one of its first nine shots as DePauw jumped out to a 23-4 lead. Then, after the Tigers cut the deficit to 14 points on a layup by
Jarrell Sweet and a three-pointer by
Jeremiah Waters, CC was outscored 20-5 and trailed 43-14 at the break.
Lance Jacobs sank 13 points and Sweet finished with 11 to pace the visiting Tigers, who scored 30 points in the second half.
DePauw was led by Steve Lemasters and Mike Moore with 14 points apiece.
DU had a 46-20 advantage in rebounds.
With its seventh straight victory, DePauw improved to 12-4 overall and 5-1 in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference. CC dropped to 2-13 overall and 1-6 in the conference.
Colorado College will play its first home game since Dec. 6 next Friday when the Tigers play host to Rhodes College at Reid Gymnasium.
