Matt Rosinski scored 24 points to lead Division II Regis University to a 61-52 victory over Colorado College on Tuesday night in Denver.
Rosinski scored 11 points during a 17-4 run midway through the second half that turned a five-point deficit into a 53-45 Regis lead with 1:55 remaining in the game.
Colorado College pulled to within 55-50 on a three pointer by Jeremiah Waters with 36 seconds remaining, but the Rangers made six of nine free-throws to put the game away.
Jarrell Sweet paced the Tigers with 14 points, three assists and three steals. Nick Rose added 11 points, while Brady Ohlsen had 10 points and seven rebounds.
Waters grabbed a career-high 11 rebounds for CC.
Colorado College jumped out to an early 9-2 lead and stayed in front until Jordan Martinez-Doublin gave the Rangers a 26-25 lead with 30 seconds remaining in the first half.
The Tigers took a 41-36 lead when Sweet scored with 11:44 to play, but CC managed only four points during the next 10 minutes to let Regis take a lead they would not give up.
The Rangers improved to 4-3 overall, while the Tigers slipped to 5-2.
Colorado College travels to Martin Luther College and Macalester College on Saturday and Monday, respectively, in its final games before the New Year.
