Freshman goalkeeper Franc Cook made 10 saves to help No. 10 Lynchburg College post an 18-3 victory over Colorado College on Sunday afternoon in Lynchburg, Va.
Cook was already on the bench when
Charley Perkins broke up the shutout with 6:22 remaining in the fourth period.
Moses Taylor and
Toby Cohen also scored in the closing minutes for the Tigers.
Colorado College outshot the Hornets 8-5 during the first period, but still trailed 3-0. Lynchburg took command in the second frame by scoring on six of its 13 shots.
Tyler Tolson scored three times and an assist to pace the Hornets, who got goals from 13 different players. Connor Carroll had a goal and an assist, while Dylan Hoff and Robert Flintoff each struck twice.
CC was 0-for-6 with the extra attacker.
Colorado College will play its home opener on Saturday against Manhattanville College.
