Three Tigers Named Honorable Mention All-American

Tacelli, Hudson and Moshang Honored by the USILA

Three Colorado College men's lacrosse players were named Division III honorable mention All-Americans by the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA).

Senior Roman Tacelli and juniors Matt Hudson and Jake Moshang each earned the first All-America honor of his career.

"I am thrilled that coaches around the country see these three as some of the best players in the country, which they certainly are," head coach Mike Horowitz said. "They are elite student-athletes who were catalysts in making a run to the NCAA Tournament."

Tacelli, a midfielder from Needham, Mass., finished second on the team with 15 caused turnovers and tied for second with 43 ground balls. He added three goals and four assists and tied his career high with seven points, including a career-best two goals in CC's 15-7 victory over Calvin this season.

"Roman is one of, if not the best defensive midfielders to ever play on Washburn Field," Horowitz said. "His leadership this season was uncanny and I'm thrilled he has received the national recognition his career deserves."

Hudson, a forward from Edina, Minn., led the Tigers with career-high totals of 49 goals and 64 points. He scored a season-high five goals in four different games and tied his career-high with seven points against St. Joseph's College and Sewanee in 2026.

"Matt will be known as one of the greatest goal scorers in program history, no question," Horowitz added.

Moshang , a defenseman from Pottstown, Pa., led the squad with 21 caused turnovers and tied Tacelli for second with 43 ground balls. He had a season-high five ground balls three different times and posted a career-high three points (1g,2a) this season.

"Jake does as much for his defense as anyone in the country," Horowitz said. "To be the middle of the field catalyst in our ten-man ride while also matching up with our opponent's best attackman every game is no easy task and he has done it at the highest level."

The Tigers finished the season with a 12-3 record, their most wins in one season since 2021, and advanced to the NCAA Division III Tournament for the first time since 2023.
