Brendan Gangl struck for three goals and added a pair of assists, and Moses Taylor scored three of the first four goals as Colorado College began a critical four-game road swing with a 12-9 victory at Kenyon College on Saturday afternoon.
The Tigers improved to 6-1 and extended their current winning streak to four games as CC strengthened its case for at an-large berth in next month's NCAA Tournament.
Colorado College took control early in the game when Taylor found the net twice during the opening 2:18.
James Mauk and Taylor extended the Tigers' lead to 4-0, and then Chris Love and Gangl scored 31 seconds apart to give CC a six-goal lead 1:14 into the second period.
Max Olson put Kenyon on the board 4:06 into the frame and, after Hunter Sprole answered 54 seconds later for Colorado College, David Clarke and Connor Bennett scored during the final 3:01 to trim the Tigers' lead to 7-3 with at the break.
The Tigers launched 23 of their 36 shots during the first half, including 14 in the first period. Colorado College converted on four of five extra-man opportunities while the Lords capitalized once on four tries.
Adam Szczepanski made six of his eight saves during the opening 30 minutes to keep Kenyon within striking distance.
Geoff Akie notched back-to-back goals to pull the Lords to within two points midway through the third period, but Sprole slowed Kenyon's momentum with his second tally 59 seconds later and CC led 9-6 after the teams traded scores late in the third period.
Chris Kolodey first career goal 25 seconds into the fourth period gave Colorado College a 10-6 advantage and proved to be the game winner.
Jordan Zimolka and David Clarke scored during a span of 1:31 to cut CC's lead to 10-8, but Gangl scored twice during the final nine minutes to put the game away.
Brendan Haas made 10 saves for the Tigers and improved to 4-1 between the pipes.
Taylor finished with three goals for the Tigers, while Sprole struck twice and assisted on two other scores.
Clarke paced the Lords with two goals and an assist.
