Regis University scored seven consecutive goals to open the game and that proved to be the difference as the Rangers recorded a 17-10 victory over Colorado College on Friday night.
Frace Maloney finally put the Tigers on the board with 14:36 remaining in the first half, but the early deficit proved too large to overcome as Regis defeated CC for the first time in 14 tries since the series began in 1999.
Colorado College pulled to within 10-7 after Frances Staadt tallied the second of back-to-back goals with 25:16 left on the clock, but the Rangers answered with a 7-1 run to regain control.
Sarah Phillps led the Tigers with four goals, while Maloney and Staadt found the net twice apiece.
Danica Cutshall, Erin Dybus, Cristina Johnson and Morgan Taylor each scored three times for Regis.
Erin Lewis steered aside 13 shots for the Rangers, including 10 in the second half when CC launched 22 of its 32 shots.
Abby Fink made seven save for the Tigers. Leslie Jacoby caused three turnovers and picked up seven ground balls, while Maloney recorded four draw controls and a pair of caused turnovers.
Regis improved to 12-2, while CC slipped to 12-3.
Colorado College closes out the regular season on Saturday afternoon when the Tigers play host Mesa State College at Stewart Field.
