Box Score Colorado College nearly overcame a six-goal deficit, but Stevens Institute of Technology used four goals from Michael Maroon to record an 8-6 victory on Sunday afternoon at the DeBaun Athletic Complex.

Henri Halle capped a five-goal outburst to pull the Tigers to within a goal with slightly less than five minutes remaining in the game. However, after CC won the ensuing faceoff, it turned the ball over before it was able to launch a shot.
The Ducks ran more than a minute off the clock before Maroon added an insurance tally off a feed from Tommy Dawson.

Sam Dardani with 5:17 on the clock, and the Tigers needed only 24 seconds to pull to within one on Halle's goal.

Dylan Davie cut the Stevens lead to 2-1 when he scored with 2:42 remaining in the first quarter, but the Ducks scored the only four goals of the second frame to build a 6-1 lead after 30 minutes.
Maroon notched what proved to be the game winner 6:06 into the second half, but the Tigers defense stepped up and did not allow another goal until the senior midfielder scored again with a little less than three minutes to play.

Tim Jenkins caused five turnovers and grabbed five ground balls for Colorado College.

Jack Roos came off the bench to record eight saves during the second half.
Stevens finished with a 35-28 advantage in total shots and a 28-24 edge in ground balls.
Junior goalie Austin Boyd stopped 10 shots for the Ducks, who improved to 4-3.
