Box Score Colorado College hung with No. 3 Salisbury University for most of the first half, but the Gulls scored seven consecutive goals and pulled away for a 16-5 victory in the second round of the 2016 NCAA Men's Lacrosse Championship on Saturday afternoon.

However Salisbury scored the final four goals of the first half and then the only three during the third quarter to open a 12-3 lead with just 15 minutes to play.

Tom Haller and freshman attackman Dew Wiseman helped CC trim its deficit to 13-5 with 9:21 to play, but the hosts tacked on the final three goals of the game during the final seven minutes.
Borko gave the Tigers a 1-0 lead 6:15 into the contest, however junior attackman Nathan Blondino had two goals and an assist to fuel a 5-0 run for the hosts.
In the final game,
Chase Murphy stopped 17 shots, giving the senior goaltender double-digit saves in 33 of 55 career appearances.

Parker Woo led the Tigers with six ground balls
Salisbury compiled a 53-29 edge in total shots and a 50-34 margin in ground balls.
The Gulls also held a 13-12 edge in faceoffs.
Junior goaltender Colin Reymann made five saves for Salisbury, which improved to 20-1 and will face either Aurora University or Denison University in the quarterfinal round on Wednesday, May 18. Â Â
Junior attackers Carson Kalama and Nick Garbarino, and senior midfielder James Burton scored three times apiece for the Gulls.
Sophomore defender Kyle Tucker led the Salisbury defense with five ground balls and four caused turnovers. Â
Colorado College finished the season with a 12-5 record. The Tiger seniors completed their careers with a 47-20 mark and made four consecutive appearances in the NCAA Tournament.
