Box Score Eric Houska became the sixth player in the history of Colorado College men's basketball to record 300 or more career assists on Wednesday night while leading the Tigers to an 88-74 victory over Caltech at Reid Arena.
Houska, who scored 18 points and dished out a season-high eight assists, reached the milestone in the second half when he set up a basket by sophomore forward

After the Beavers gnawed their way back to within 16 points, senior forward
Chris Martin's slam was part of an eight-point run that gave the Tigers a 66-42 lead with 11:32 to go.
The Tigers took their largest lead at 78-51 when Houska hit a turnaround jumper in the lane with 7:45 to go.
Colorado College took control of the game when it outscored Caltech 11-1 during the opening 2:10 of the second half to build a 20-point lead for the first time.
Senior forward
John Hatch scored 14 of his 21 points in the first half, including 12 from behind the arc. His third three-pointer of the game, which gave the Tigers a 19-14 lead, was the 100th of his career. Hatch became the 18th player in program history to record 100 or more three-point baskets.
Martin posted his first double-double of the season with 12 points and 12 rebounds, while Black made eight of 11 shots from the floor and finished with 17 points.
Caltech connected on eight of 21 long-range shots to stay within striking distance during the first half, but the Beavers went just 4-for-10 from behind the arc during the final 20 minutes.
Freshman guard Marcus Gee led Caltech with 19 points. He was one of six different Beavers who made at least one shot from long distance.
Freshman forward Spencer Schneider added 14 points for Caltech, which dropped to 1-6.
Colorado College plays its first Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference contest of the season on Saturday at the University of Dallas. The game tips off at 1 p.m. CT.
