Box Score The fifth-seeded Colorado College men's basketball team could not overcome it's first-half deficit and fell, 63-47, to Trinity University in the opening game of the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Championships on Friday afternoon at Reid Arena.

Eric Houska led the Tigers with 11 points and four assists. The senior guard became the 11th player in program history to score more than 1,300 points and finished with 1,307. He also ranks third all-time with 404 assists.
Senior forward
John Hatch opened the game for CC with a three-pointer 47 seconds into the first half to ignite a 7-0 run, but Trinity struck back when junior forward Matthew Colliflower hit a pair of threes during a 7-0 run to tie the game at 7-7 with 15:48 left in the half.
Hatch's jumper gave the Tigers a 12-9 lead with 13:09 remaining, but a pair of free throws by Trinity's Isaiah Speck at 12:09 helped spark a 25-4 run to close out the half and give TU a 34-16 lead at intermission.
Trinity, which was seeded fourth in the SCAC Championships, shot 40.8 percent from the floor and went 19-for-29 from the free-throw line. The visiting Tigers were led offensively by sophomore forward Danny Rivara with 14 points and Colliflower with 10.
Colorado College, which finished the season with a 12-14 record, was led defensively by sophomore forward
CooXooEii Black with game-highs of 15 rebounds and five blocks.
Black completed his ninth double-double of the season with 10 points. Hatch also finished the game with 10 points.
Trinity improved to 15-11 on the season and will play No. 1 seed Schreiner University in the semifinal match on Saturday at noon in Reid Arena. Â Â Â
