The Colorado College men's basketball team was picked to finish third in this year's Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference standings after receiving 48 points in the preseason polls. 2022-23 regular-season champion, St. Thomas, is favored to repeat after collecting 62 points and six first-place votes.
The Tigers made it to the SCAC Tournament last year but lost in the first round to Schreiner. CC finished fifth in the conference standings after ending the season with a 12-14 record, including going 9-7 in league play.
CC will officially kick off the season at home against Nebraska Wesleyan on Saturday, Nov. 11 at 1 p.m. Before that, they will travel north to Greeley and take on Division 1 foe, the University of Northern Colorado, in an exhibition contest. That tipoff is set for Monday, Nov. 6, at 7:30 p.m.
