The Tigers went down 3-1 in the first quarter and battled back to tie the game at 4-4 in the second quarter. The Owls countered, took a three-goal lead in the third quarter, and held the Tigers off in the final minutes.

Sophomore Matt Hudson, Wyatt Furda and freshman Max Vota scored two goals. Karsten Nyarady scored a goal, but CC was outshot 59-35, and the Owls collected 46 ground balls compared to the Tigers' 36.

The Owls went up 2-0 in the first quarter before Furda found the back of the net after an assist from Vota for his second goal of the season.

Kenyon scored again before the horn and went into the second with a 3-1 lead. Consecutive goals by Nyarady and Hudson to lead off the second quarter tied the game with 11:28 remaining before the half.

The Owls countered with a response goal with 6:58 left, regaining a 4-3 advantage, but Hudson racked up his second goal in a man-up opportunity with 5:44 remaining.

Tied 4-4, the Owls scraped one more goal shortly after Hudson's goal and led 5-4 at halftime.

CC scored once in the third but surrendered three goals and trailed by three heading into the final 15 minutes of play. Furda scored his second goal four minutes into the quarter in a viable comeback attempt, followed by Vota dishing his third with 9:25 remaining. Now trailing only 8-7, CC continued to put shots on net, racking up six shots on goal in the fourth, but Kenyon managed to regain a two-goal lead.
