The Colorado College men's lacrosse team hosts a series of games over the next week against Illinois Wesleyan and Ursinus College. The Tigers (4-3) have four more home games left this season, two of which are in the next five days.
CC takes on IWU on Wednesday at 6 pm MT and Ursinus on Sunday at noon.
Last Time Out
CC fell to No. 17 St. John Fisher on Saturday at home. Junior
Braydon Ellis returned to the lineup, scored three goals, handed out two assists, and finished with three ground balls and two caused turnovers. Freshman
Max Vota kept his scoring streak going, now at seven games to start his Tiger career. Vota scored twice and finished with an assist, 10 shots, and three ground balls.
The Cardinals got off to a strong start and were able to fend off a Tigers' comeback in the final quarter.
At Home This Season
The Tigers are 4-1 to start the year at home, outscoring their opponents 73-49. All four of CC's wins have come at Washburn Field, and they have scored 13 or more goals on all of those occasions.
Against The Field
CC is 14th in the nation in points with 144, and the Tigers are 14th in the country with 51 assists.
Sophomore
Matt Hudson is in the country with six man-up goals and is 56th with 3.29 goals per game.
Scouting The Opposition
IWU is 6-0 to start the season; with a recent win over Wabash on Wednesday, March 5th, the Green and White won 11-6.
The Titans rank 15th in the nation with 233 ground balls, 22nd in DIII, and first in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin with 12.83 caused turnovers per game. They are also in the top 25 in both points and assists.
