Tigers Set To Host No. 17 St. John Fisher

The Colorado College men's lacrosse team looks to go 5-0 at home when it hosts No. 17 St. John Fisher on Saturday, March 8 at Washburn Field.
CC (4-2) has won two straight and is 4-0 at home for the first time since 2021.
 
Last Time Out
The Tigers downed Aurora University 14-6 on Tuesday of this week. Sophomore Matt Hudson and freshman Max Vota combined six goals and nine points. The pair took a combined 12 shots as the Tigers never trailed against the Spartans and outshot them 42-27.
CC's defense was rock solid, forcing 22 turnovers and holding the Spartans to a 56.00 percent clear percentage. 
 
Leading The Way
Hudson and Vota lead the scoring efforts for the Tigers through the first six games. Hudson sets the mark at 22 goals, five assists and 42 shots. Vota leads the team with 51 shots, six assists and is second with 17 goals.
The pair has a combined 65.5 shot-on-goal percentage and four game-winning goals.
Hudson has racked up six man-up goals, which leads the entire nation. He is also 41st in the country in goals per game at 3.76.
Freshman Jackson Lesher has started all six games in net for the Tigers and has racked up 69 saves and a save percentage of 54.8 percent.
CC's defense has been stellar this season against the clear. The Tigers hold their opponents to a 67.5 clear percentage, including 58.7 percent in wins.
 
Home Sweet Home
All four of CC's wins this season have come at Washburn Field. In Colorado Springs, the Tigers have outscored their opposition 65-37 and outshot them 230-151.

CC has not won five games at home to start the year since 2021, when it went 6-1 at home, including hosting and winning the SCAC Tournament.
 
Scouting The Opposition
The Cardinals are 3-1 to start the season and are ranked No. 17 in the latest USILA Coaches national poll. They are led by junior Nick Hauman, who has seven goals and two assists.
 
On Thursday, SJF played at Washburn in a neutral site contest against Aurora. The Cardinals won 17-5.
