Colorado College men's basletball senior Russell MacFarlane (Seattle, Wash.) has been named the SCAC Men's Basketball Defensive Player of the Week for games played from Friday, February 20 through Sunday, February 22, earning his first weekly honor of the season.

MacFarlane anchored the Tigers on both ends of the floor in a perfect 2-0 weekend to close out the regular season, helping Colorado College build momentum heading into postseason play. The senior averaged 7.5 rebounds, 2.0 blocks and 14.5 points per game while consistently protecting the rim and controlling the glass.

On Friday, MacFarlane recorded eight rebounds and 15 points, adding a game-high three blocks and a steal in a dominant defensive performance. He followed that effort on Sunday against top-seeded LeTourneau with seven rebounds, another block and 14 points, playing a pivotal role in the Tigers' statement victory.
