Senior Kayla Mackel earned national recognition for her standout season after being named to the D3hoops.com All-Region Second Team, the organization announced.
Mackel led the Tigers in scoring during the 2025-26 season, averaging 14.8 points per game while totaling 325 points across 22 games. She shot .413 from the field and .309 from three-point range, knocking down a team-high 42 three-pointers, while converting 84.5 percent of her free throws.
The senior guard also contributed across the stat sheet with 90 rebounds, 41 assists, 31 steals and 26 blocks, providing a consistent two-way presence for CC throughout the season.
Earlier this postseason, Mackel was named a First Team All-SCAC selection, marking the third all-conference honor of her career. During the season she also became the 17th player in program history to reach 1,000 career points.
