Carson Christman gave Colorado College an early lead, but Ohio Wesleyan University scored 13 of the next 14 goals and went on to post a 21-9 victory over the Tigers on Sunday afternoon.
The Bishops answered Christman's goal with six in a row, and after Buck McKenna pulled Colorado College to within four goals 1:32 into the second period, OWU outscored the Tigers 7-0 and built a commanding 13-3 lead after two periods.
Ohio Wesleyan had a 51-34 edge in total shots, including a 30-12 advantage during the first two periods.
CC stayed nearly even with the Bishops during the final 31 minutes, but the early deficit proved to be too large for the Tigers to overcome.
The Tigers won 21 of 33 faceoffs and had a 43-37 advantage in ground balls, but CC was unable to cash in on any of its six man-up situations.
Christman led the Tigers with three goals, while Hunter Sprole finished with two scores and an assist.
Scott MacArthur faced 28 shots on goal during the first 45 minutes, making 10 saves. Max Pluss stopped three of six shots in relief.
Michael McGeary had a career-high 10 ground balls to pace the Tiger defense.
Jud Hall made seven saves in just over 49 minutes in goal for OWU.
Dave Castignola and Chad Narwicz had three goals apiece for the Bishops, while Rob Young scored twice and added three assists.
CC, which split a pair of back-to-back games on its current road trip, slipped to 5-5. The Bishops improved to 7-4.
The Tigers will return to Ohio next week for games at Denison and Wittenberg on Friday and Sunday, respectively.
