Drew University scored eight goals during the final 13:01 of the first half and went on to defeat Colorado College, 16-8, on Thursday afternoon.
The Tigers used a 6-2 run to cut their deficit to 12-8 with 8:07 remaining in the second half, but that was as close as they would get. Drew scored the final four games, including two by Stacie Brown during the final 10 seconds.
Brown led the Rangers with five goals and six points. Lindsay Ross scored three times, while Cara Jeffries struck for a pair of goals and set up three others.
Ginny Rider and Gioia Garden paced CC with two goals apiece. Kristin Rider and Grace Maloney each had two assists. The Tigers' eight goals were the fewest in a game this season.
Jess Van Doren mad four saves on 14 shots during the opening 29:26. Valerie Cranmer stopped five of 11 shots in relief. Rachel Hanley made 10 saves for Drew.
Claire Preston and Kristin Rider each scooped up five ground balls and caused three turnovers for CC. Maloney had five draw controls.
The Tigers slipped to 10-3, while the Rangers improved to 6-7.
Colorado College will play Washington and Lee University on Saturday morning in Swarthmore, Pa., and then finish the three-game road trip at Cabrini College on Sunday.
