Brady Burton scored seven goals to lead the Denison University men's lacrosse team to a 17-5 victory over Colorado College on Friday night.
Burton found the net six times in the first half, including five in the second period, as the Big Red scored 11 consecutive goals after Moses Taylor gave the Tigers a 1-0 lead 2:06 into the game.
Chris Love and Charley Perkins scored for CC during the third period, while Thomas Reyda and Bart Cerf added the final two goals during the final five minutes of the fourth quarter.
Perkins led the Colorado College with a goal and an assist.
Denison, ranked No. 14 in the latest Unites States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association Division III poll, outshot the Tigers 24-6 during the first 30 minutes and finished with a 40-29 overall advantage.
Starting goaltender Scott MacArthur stopped five of 16 shots on goal, while Brendan Haas made six saves on 12 shots in relief.
Colorado College slipped to 5-6, with four of the losses coming against teams ranked in the USILA's top 14. Denison improved to 10-1.
The Tigers will play the last of four consecutive games in Ohio when they travel to Springfield to face Wittenberg University on Sunday.
