Box Score No. 7 Colorado College continued its dominance on Saturday as it beat Saint Mary's University and Tufts University to claim the CC Classic and stay unbeaten this season.

The Tigers were ahead two sets to none in the first day's match, but Saint Mary's handed CC its first loss of the season in the third set. The Tigers had won 21 straight sets before suffering a 25-21 loss as the Cardinals capitalized on a pair of blocks and service aces to aid the difference.

CC battled back in the fourth and final set holding Saint Mary's to a .000 attack percentage, while forcing them into 10 attack errors. The Tigers beat the Cardinals 25-21, 25-13, 21-25, 25-20.

Courtney Birkett, the tournament Most Valuable Player, led the Tigers with 17 kills and added 10 digs, while sophomore
Abbe Holtze contributed with 16 kills and 11 digs against SMU.

Colorado College powered through its final match of the day as it swept Tufts, 25-16, 25-9, 25-17 in Reid Arena to finish the weekend 8-0 on the season.

The Jumbos, who had 18 blocks as a team in their victory over East Texas Baptist University earlier in the day, were held to just three blocks and a .072 attack percentage against the Tigers.

Kristen Liberty led the attack with 11 kills each, while freshman
Sarah Barker handed out 33 assists to go with her 39 assists she had earlier in the day.

Keli Sherwood, were both all-tournament team selections, each led the team on defense with 15 digs and four blocks, respectively.
