Box Score Colorado College exploded for 14 goals in the second half and pulled away for a 23-13 victory over Wittenberg University on Monday afternoon at Washburn Field.
Sophomore midfielder
Sadie Cole scored three of her team-high four goals during the final 30 minutes, including a pair after the visitors pulled to within 14-12 with 14:58 to play, to help her team improve to 3-2 on the season.
After sophomore attacker Becca Joseph gave Wittenberg its final lead 48 seconds into the second half, CC stormed back with five tallies in a span of 3:52.
Senior midfielder
Dylan Voneiff gave Colorado College an 11-10 lead with 26:27 remaining and Cole scored 10 seconds later when she won the ensuing draw control and ran right through the Wittenberg defense to notch her second marker of the game.

Annie DeFrino ignited an 8-0 run when she scored from four yards out off a feed from Taussig.
Joseph scored three of her six goals in a span of 98 seconds to give Wittenberg a 7-3 lead midway through the first half.
Freshman attacker
Steph Kelly recorded three goals and an assist during the first 30 minutes to help keep CC within striking distance.
Kelly and DeFrino each finished with three goals and three assists.
Taussig was force all over the field, registering three goals and an assist in the offensive zone, game highs of five draw controls and four ground balls, and a career-best six caused turnovers.
Sophomore attacker
Hannah Lyons posted a career-high three goals, including what proved to be the game winner 5:40 into the second half. Lyons also tied the game at 9-9 with the final goal of the first half while Colorado College was up one player.
Senior attacker Logan Warye scored three times before picking up her second yellow card with 3:27 remaining in the second half. Senior captain Megan Loofbourrow also was given a pair of cards and missed the final 12:15 of the contest.
CC dominated in draw controls, winning 15 of 19 during the first half and 27 of 38 overall. The hosts also finished with a 49-23 advantage in total shots and a 22-14 edge in ground balls.
Junior goaltender Katie Reuter made eight saves for Wittenberg, which slipped to 1-1 on the season. Â Â Â Â
