Mary Taussig and freshman attacker
Steph Kelly turned in dominating performances all over the field as Colorado College opened its three-game road trip with a 21-11 victory at the University of Pacific on Thursday afternoon.
Taussig posted career highs with seven markers and eight ground balls, while Kelly finished with a season-high 18 draw controls and recorded two goals and a pair of assists.
Senior attacker Amy Mayhugh did her best to keep the Boxers in the game, scoring a team-high six goals to finish the game with 58 for the season. Sophomore attacker April Lanz added three of her four goals in the second half.
At the other end of the field, 10 players scored for CC which reached the 20-goal plateau for the third time this season.

Colorado College appeared to be in control when Kelly scored on a free-position shot 11:08 into the contest to give the Tigers a 5-1 lead. However, Pacific struck for five consecutive goals to take its only lead when Lanz scored a man-up goal with 2:58 to play before halftime.
The momentum didn't last long because the Tigers answered with four tallies in a span of 1:27 and took a 9-6 lead when
Iris Rayburn scored a free-position goal with only eight seconds on the clock.
Tallies by Kelly and Taussig gave CC a 12-7 lead a little less than eight minutes into the second half, but Pacific trimmed its deficit to three with 17:07 to play on goals by Mayhugh and Lanz.
However, just like in the first half, the Tigers responded quickly with three goals in a span of 1:49 to begin to pull away.
Colorado College scored on eight of 16 free-position shots, its highest total of the season.
CC won 25 of 34 draw controls, including four in a row during the pivotal 4-0 run at the end of the first half.
The Tigers also finished with a 45-18 advantage in total shots and a 26-21 edge in total shots.

Martha Smith made three saves during the first half to earn the victory. Freshman Zoe had one save during the second half.
Sophomore Adrienne Salzwedel made 11 saves for the Boxers, who slipped to 12-2.
Colorado College (8-7) plays a pair of games on Friday in McMinnville, Ore. The Tigers face Southwestern University at 11 a.m. PT, then conclude their visit to the Pacific Northwest at 3:30 p.m. against host Linfield College.
