Iris Rayburn struck for a career-high five goals to lead Colorado College to a 20-3 victory at Linfield College on Friday afternoon.
Sophomore midfielders
Sadie Cole and
Mary Taussig added three tallies apiece as the Tigers reached the 20-goal mark for the third game in a row and fourth time this season.
With three goals and an assist, Taussig surpassed the 50-point mark and finished the season with a team-leading 51. She celebrated by playing the final 7:25 in goal.
Rayburn scored twice during the first 53 seconds to help CC race to an early 5-0 lead.
After Kelsey Dammarell put the Wildcats on the board 8:38 into the contest with the first of her two tallies, the Tigers scored nine unanswered goals to build a 14-1 lead after 30 minutes. Â
Colorado College launched 44 shots, compared to only four for the Wildcats. CC also won 21 of 24 draw controls and finished with a 12-6 advantage in ground balls.
Linfield's Erika Phillipo made 19 saves.
The Tigers improved to 10-7 by winning for the sixth time in the last seven games.
Linfield dropped to 0-14.
