Abbe Holtze were each honored in Colorado College's final home match of the season on Friday evening in Reid Arena. The sixth ranked Tigers beat Johnson and Wales University in their final regular-season match of the season in three-straight sets, 25-17, 25-13, 25-15.

With the victory CC finished its regular season with a 25-4 record and a 16-1 record in Reid Arena.

Holtze led CC with seven kills and earned 12 digs, while Watson orchestrated the offense with a team-best 26 assists and had two service aces. Sherwood added five kills on a .500 hitting percentage in 10 attempts with no errors.

The Tigers held an 11-10 edge midway through the first set when Sherwood hit a kill from Watson to spark a 10-5 run to take a 20-15 lead. CC went on to win the set, 25-17, holding Johnson & Wales to a -.114 hitting percentage on five kills in 44 attempts with 10 errors.

Junior middle hitter
Glenna Yancey had four of her six kills in the second set as the Tigers hit a match-high .440 attack percentage on 12 kills in 25 attempts with only one error. CC started the second set scoring 11 of the first 15 points and held its largest lead of the set at 21-9 on a solo block by Yancey.

Colorado College carried its momentum into the third set, hitting 16 kills in 31 attempts with just three errors for a .419 attack percentage. Sherwood hit a kill to give the Tigers a 16-10 lead in the final set, which ignited a 9-5 run that was capped with a service ace by sophomore defensive specialist

Marguerite Spaethling contributed with six kills apiece. Freshman libero
Anna Gurolnick led the back row with 13 digs and three aces, while freshman
Haley Harris added 11 digs.

Johnson & Wales (13-23) was led by senior outside hitter Kelly McLain with seven kills, while junior libero Sierra Joyner earned a match-high 17 digs. Ashlee Ruehs added 20 assists and Brittney Mukhar contributed with 11 digs.

Colorado College will travel to Shreveport, La., for the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Volleyball Championships on Nov. 4-5. The third-seeded Tigers will play the sixth-seeded Texas Lutheran University on Friday at 1 p.m. CT.
