Box Score Colorado College improved to 2-0 with a 12-10 victory over Wittenberg University on Sunday at Montgomery Bell High School in Nashville.

Robbie Stern struck for four goals and added an assist for CC, while sophomore attackman
Chris Brower scored once and set up three other goals.
Freshman midfielder
Coby Petau finished with two goals and an assist, and sophomore midfielder
Tom Haller found the net twice for Colorado College, including what proved to be the game winner with eight seconds to play in the third quarter.
Four consecutive tallies early in the third quarter gave CC a 10-4 lead, however Wittenberg closed to within 12-10 when senior midfielder Jack Strahm scored with 3:09 remaining in the game.
Wittenberg had a chance to cut its deficit to a goal on the ensuing possession, but Colorado College freshman goaltender
Andrew Harwood denied a shot by freshman attackman Noah Moderwell for one of his 10 saves and his teammates ran off the final 2:26 to preserve the victory.
Petau snapped a 1-1 tie midway through the first quarter and CC held the lead the rest of the game.
Colorado College built a 6-2 advantage after senior midfielder
Brad Hale scored off a feed from Stern with 8:16 remaining in the second quarter, but senior midfielder Zach Shy scored twice in a span of 53 seconds to cut Wittenberg's deficit to two goals.
CC got a dominating performance from sophomore midfielder
Parker Woo, who won 18 of 24 faceoffs.
Woo also led Colorado College with nine ground balls, while senior long-stick midfielder
Chandler Jacobson grabbed four ground balls and caused a pair of turnovers.
Shy led the Wittenberg attack with three goals and an assist, while Moderwell also scored three times.
Wittenberg converted on three of four extra-man opportunities, while CC was successful on just one of five.
Wittenberg finished with a 43-38 advantage in total shots and a 52-49 edge in ground balls.
Starting goalkeeper Nick Gregory made a pair of saves before giving way to senior Aaron Blossey after Colorado College took a four-goal lead with 3:16 remaining in the second quarter. Blossey stopped seven shots in just over 33 minutes.
CC plays hits home opener on Thursday, Feb. 23, when Augustana College visits Washburn Field.
