Box Score One day after allowing a season-high 21 goals, the Colorado College women's lacrosse team matched its season best for the fewest surrendered in a game.
The Tigers held Hope College to just five shots and stormed past the Flying Dutch for a 21-2 victory on Friday afternoon at Washburn Field.
It was the fifth time in 10 games this season the CC defense held an opponent to fewer than five scores.
At the other end of the field, the Colorado College attack surpassed the 20-goal mark for the seventh time this year. Junior attacker
Annie DeFrino led the Tigers with five goals, her fifth game with five or more this season.

Lily Benjamin and junior attacker
Steph Kelly finished with a game-high six points. Benjamin scored four goals and set up two others, while Kelly struck twice and dished out a game-high four assists.
Benjamin scored CC's first goal and set up the first from DeFrino as the Tigers took an early 2-0 lead. Senior midfielder Alexandra Webb cut Hope's deficit in half, but DeFrino struck for what proved to be the game winner 81 seconds later.
Colorado College, which improved to 9-1, led 14-1 at halftime and 19-1 before senior midfielder Dana Kym scored for the Dutch with 9:49 remaining in the game.
CC also got a pair of tallies from senior

Emily Carlson, and freshman
Eva King.
First-year midfielder
Robin Hilderman recorded the first three assists of her career during the first half.
Taussig recorded game highs with five caused turnovers and six ground balls. Junior midfielder
Sadie Cole finished with five ground balls, four caused turnovers and four draw controls.
Freshman
Remy Wells made one save during the first half while recording her eighth victory in goal for the Tigers. Junior
Zoe Frolik steered aside two shots during the final 30 minutes.
Colorado College won 16 of 25 draw controls and compiled a 49-25 edge in ground balls.
Senior goaltender Alexandria Watts was outstanding in goal for the Dutch, making 12 of her 16 saves during the first half when the Tigers launched 33 of their 45 shots.
Senior defender Audrey Park had team highs of six ground balls and four caused turnovers for Hope, which slipped to 2-4.
CC launched 45 shots, compared to just five for the Dutch.
Colorado College plays host to MIT on Sunday at noon.
