Box Score Colorado College went toe-to-toe with No. 10 Colby College, but the Mules scored seven consecutive goals midway through the game and thwarted CC's second-half rally en route to a 21-14 victory on a blustery Thursday afternoon.
Senior midfielder
Mary Taussig's second goal pulled the Tigers to within 11-8 with 2:45 to play in the first half and it appeared
Lily Benjamin had drawn a free-position shot during the final minute, but the infraction was called against the senior attacker and Colby's Emilie Klein scored with only six seconds to go before the break.
Unfortunately, the sequence was an indication of what was to come in the first 15 minutes of the second half.
Colorado College, which already had endured a grueling week with finals and cross-country travel, saw its deficit grow to 10 after the Mules tacked on the first six goals of the second half.
The Tigers finally found a second wind during the latter stages of the game and pulled to within 20-14 when senior attacker
Sadie Cole scored her third goal of the game with 2:48 remaining, but Colby closed out the scoring with an extra-player tally with 2:13 to play.

Annie DeFrino also struck three times for CC, while Taussig, senior attacker
Lily Benjamin, and sophomore attacker
Nikki Blair all scored twice.
Steph Kelly scored once and dished out a game-high four assists. The junior attacker also grabbed a game-high five draw controls.

Cole Vanacore picked up a team-best four ground balls the Tigers.
Colorado College converted on 14 of its 21 shots, but 28 turnovers and 35 fouls helped the Mules amass 41 shots.
Kendall Smith and Sasha Fritts led Colby with four goals, while Lexie Perticone and Kelsie Bowen scored three times apiece.
Junior goaltender
Zoe Frolik recorded a career-high nine saves during 49:27 of action for CC, which slipped to 12-3. Freshman
Remy Wells stopped a pair of shots during the first 10 minutes.
Colby's Izzy Scribano made a pair of saves before giving way to Sam Burch for the final 10 minutes.
The Tigers wrap up their two-game trip to Maine on Saturday at No. 16 Bowdoin College.
