The Colorado College track and field teams opened the 2020 outdoor season with a bang Saturday at the Ed Boitano Invitational, held at Puget Sound University in Tacoma, Wash. The men's team produced a school record and four individual wins, while the women's team captured two victories.

Senior
Tony Calderon won the men's 3,000-meter race and broke the school record with a time of 8:49.75, lowering the previous record of 8:58.55, set last year by
Max Blackburn, who finished third in the race on Saturday with a time of 9:00.45.

Junior
Michael Gorman produced a pair of wins in the 200- and 400-meter dashes. He produced a time of 22.77 in the 200 and 50.27 in the 400. Fellow junior
Damon Hardwick finished third in the 400 (51.42) and fifth in the 200 (23.71).

Sophomore
Josh Fry collected the Tigers' fourth win of the day by capturing the 800-meter race in a time of 1:59.50.

Junior
Paul Olsen placed second in the 1,500 in a time of 4:04.75, while junior
Andrew Edds produced a fifth-place finish in the 400 hurdles in 1:00.14.

On the women's side, junior
Camille Weaver picked up where she left off from the indoor season by winning the high jump and long jump events on Saturday. She cleared 5'3" in the high jump and went 17'1" in the long jump. She also finished fourth in the 200-meter dash with a time of 27.01 seconds.

Sophomore
Mary Alice Ewing finished third in the 400 at 1:03.79 and seventh in the 200 (28.17), while senior
Liza Huschle placed fifth in the 400 (1:06.66) and sophomore
Megan Koch seventh in the 1,500 (5:14.44).

The Tigers also placed fourth through eighth in the 3K with senior
Claire Tobin in fourth (11:33.28), freshman
Na'ama Nevo in fifth (11:39.17), junior
Sarah Pokelwaldt in sixth (11:41.46), freshman
Clare Quinn in seventh (11:42.58) and senior
Audrey Nelson in eighth (11:44.76).
