Colorado College student-athletes turned in another impressive performance in the classroom during the 2022-23 winter season and ranked first in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference with 79 earning a spot on the league's Academic Honor Roll.

More than 94 percent of the Tigers who competed in the four winter sports sponsored by the SCAC were recognized for posting a minimum 3.25 grade-point average during the most recent semester.

The women's basketball team had all 17 players honored for a perfect 100 percent. The women's swimming and diving (23) and men's basketball teams (17) were close behind at 95.8 and 94.4 percent, respectively, while the men's swimming and diving team (22) had 88 percent.
"We are incredibly proud of our student-athletes commitment and success in the classroom," Colorado College Vice President and Director of Athletics Lesley Irvine said. "To have the highest number in the league and almost all of our spring student-athletes earn the recognition is incredible."

Colorado College had 28 more recipients than Southwestern University, which finished second with 51. Trinity University was third with 49, followed by Austin College (30) and Centenary College (20).

Since the inception of the SCAC Academic Honor Roll in 1997, more than 33,200 male and female student-athletes have been recognized for their exemplary performances in the classroom.
