Junior Rabbit Barnes broke his own school record in the 800-meter run Friday night at the prestigious KT Woodman Classic in Wichita, Kan.
 
Barnes finished fourth in the race with a time of 1:51.45, surpassing his previous record of 1:51.88, set last season. He has also broken the 1500 school record this spring. Will Nakahara placed eighth in the 800 in 1:52.32, followed by Mack Levy (26^th), Will Pechinsky (59^th) and Andrew Peng (64^th).
 
Will Shuflit continued his outstanding spring as well, finishing seventh in the 5K in 14:36.59, while Axel Komplarens placed fifth in the 10K (31:14.11), followed by Diego Escalante in 19^th (32:18.15), Dominic Schwein in 23^rd (32:27.19), Sammy Berman in 32^nd (32:54.71) and Eric Coombs in 38^th (33.29.48).
 
Vincent Mangat placed 10^th in the 3000-meter steeplechase in 9:31.32, while Luc Santos was 12^th in 9:34.53.
 
In the 1500, Huck Whittemore finished 21^st, followed by Matt Wells in 40^th, Levy in 49^th and Jennings Wilson in 69^th.
 
The rest of the men's track & field team will compete at the War Hawk Classic in Abilene, Texas, on Saturday, April 12.
