Tigers Fare Well at War Hawk Classic

The Colorado College men's track and field team continued its 2025 spring season at the War Hawk Classic Saturday at the campus of McMurry University in Abilene, Texas.
 
Oliver Smeal, Owen Shi and Josh Williams each captured a Top 10 result at the meet.
 
Smeal finished third in the javelin Friday night with a throw of 166'5", just four inches shy of his school record.
 
Shi, meanwhile, placed fourth in the shot put (46'6.75") and Williams fifth in the 200 with a time of 21.5 seconds.
 
Smeal and Williams also joined Chase Marks and Holden Perry for third place in the 4x100 relay with a time of 41.64 seconds.
 
Smeal and Perry finished 12th and 14th, respectively, in the 200, while Mauricia Choussy placed 11th in the javelin (145'11") and 14th in the shot put (38'5"). George Peltier was 12thin the javelin, followed by Easton Capser in 13th.
 
The Tigers return to action next week at the Bryan Clay Invitational (April 16-18) in Azusa, Calif., and the Colorado Mines Invite (April 19).
